After years of negotiations, Apple and EMI agreed to offer to the iTunes customers The Beatles albums. Steve Jobs, CEO Apple and, apparently, big Beatles fan declared: “been a long and winding road to get here” 🙂 “We love the Beatles and are honoured and thrilled to welcome them to iTunes“.

Moreover, Sir Paul McCartney expresses his content: “It’s fantastic to see the songs we originally released on vinyl receive as much love in the digital world as they did the first time around“.

So does Ringo Starr: “I’m particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes.”

Getting on iTunes may introduce the Beatles, who broke up in 1970, to a new generation of music fans.

iTunes Store is the world’s no. 1 music retailer. It has helped redefine music retailing since its launch in 2003. More than 10 billion songs have been downloaded from the site, which features a music catalog of more than 12 million titles.
