Copy of IMG_4334Long time performing musician Ben Mason is set to release his fourth album, “Flesh and Bone” on February 7th, 2018 with his performance at Pearl Street Warehouse in Washington DC, and on February 10th at Gadino Cellars in Washington, Va. The record features the lead guitarist of The Eagles, Steuart Smith, and Steve Van Dam and Nate Brown of Everything, of “Hooch” fame. “Flesh and Bone” contains an honest collection of songs detailing experiences from Mason’s life and the world around him.

Ben’s unique, alternative rock sound is influenced by the sacred Indian land on which he resides, near the Blue Ridge Mountains. A mixed media constructionist, Ben has crafted “Flesh and Bone,” to display his artwork and lyrics in a 16 page booklet included with the CD. Ben says, “This record is my survival diary. Flesh and bone is all we have to travel though the mistakes and triumphs that make us who we are.”

Since the 70’s, Mason has played venues all across the DC area including the Birchmere, Jiffy Lube Live, the old Cellar Door, Blues Alley, the Bayou, the Kennedy Center and the Baltimore Civic Center. He has recorded or opened for dozens of well-known acts such as Styx, Foreigner, John Cougar Mellencamp, Steuart Smith of The Eagles, the Dillards and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Mason’s career took off in 1990 with the release of his first album, “River Deep In Me,” which was produced by Mary Chapin Carpenter’s renowned producer, John Jennings. Since that time, Mason has appeared as a musical guest on the Today Show, won the Grand Prize at the 10th Annual Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest and released two more solo albums, “48 States of Love” and “Loveland”.

Mason will celebrate the release of “Flesh and Bone” on February 7th, 2018 at his Grand Prize Winning Local Songwriter Circle at Pearl Street Warehouse in Washington, DC. The event will feature Americana singer/songwriter Kipyn Martin and Folk/Americana music from Tony Denikos. The show begins at 8 p.m. with doors at 7pm; tickets are $12. More information:
