The 2020 Soul Train Cruise announces more star power onboard the “hippest trip at sea,” with the addition of The Manhattans featuring Gerald Alston, The Family Stone, The GAP Experience, a very special Barry White Tribute performance by Jourdan Carroll, and a tribute to Grover Washington, Jr. by Jason Miles in his To Grover with Love Tribute. They join The Jacksons, The Isley Brothers, Johnny Gill, Cameo, Peabo Bryson, War, Atlantic Starr, Regina Belle, Karyn White, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Urban Guerilla Orchestra, Cruise Host Tony Cornelius and original Soul Train Dancers on the ultimate vacation for R&B fans who revel in the music, inimitable fashion and groundbreaking dance moves that changed music and pop culture forever.

“They love music from the ‘70s, the ‘80s, the ‘90s and up to the present day,” Gerald Alston says about Soul Train Cruise guests as he looks forward to joining the annual cruise for the fourth time. “And it’s just special – we can reach out and touch the fans just have a good time with them. It’s a wonderful experience.” “A lot of our fans from back in the day are on the cruise and we can reminisce with them. And when we talk to those fans, they take me back to where it all started…what happened when they saw us in concert or heard our music and what was going on at the time. It really does make you feel good to have people come up to you and reminisce and take you back to it. It’s exciting to me.”

In addition to The Manhattans, the 2020 Soul Train Cruise welcomes the following to the lineup:

The Family Stone featuring original founder of Sly & the Family Stone Jerry “Papa J” Martini, Phunne “Raw Syl” Stone (daughter of founding members Sly Stone and Cynthia Robinson), Swang Stewart, Nate Wingfield, Jimmy McKinney, Frank Klepacki and Blaise Sison with explosive concerts of their Psychedelic Funk classics.

The GAP Experience with original band members Oliver Scott, Billy Young, Roman Johnson and Baby Gap.

Jourdan Carroll and his popular Barry White Tribute.

“To Grover With Love” performed by GRAMMY winner Jason Miles.
