The Critters were a successful American pop group with several hits in the 1960s. “Younger Girl” became a minor pop hit in early 1966, and reached #38 in the UK Singles Chart in July that year. It was followed by “Mr. Dieingly Sad”, which reached #17 later in the year. The group had their final chart hit with “Don’t Let The Rain Fall Down On Me” in 1967, hitting #39.
The Cowsills is an American singing group from Newport, Rhode Island. They specialized in harmonies and the ability to sing and play music at an early age. The band was formed in the spring of 1965 by brothers Bill, Bob, and Barry; they shortly thereafter added John. The hit single “The Rain, The Park & Other Things” sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold record. In 1968, the band scored another million-selling hit with the song “Indian Lake” which reached No.10 on the US charts.
Question Mark & the Mysterians are an American rock and roll band formed in Bay City, Michigan, in 1962. The group took its name from the 1957 Japanese science fiction film “The Mysterians”. They were also the first rock American band of Mexican descent to have a mainstream hit record in the United States with 1966’s “96 Tears”, which sold over one million copies and won a BMI award for over three million airplays.
