What a start to the year for Paul McCartney! On Sunday, Paul took home five GRAMMYs, winning every award he was nominated for at the 56th annual ceremony. Paul won awards for:
- ‘Best Rock Song’ for ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ which he co-wrote with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear.
- ‘Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package’ for last year’s Wings over America re-issue.
- ‘Best Surround Sound Album’ for Live Kisses.
- ‘Best Music Film’ for Live Kisses.
During the ceremony, which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Paul was joined on stage by Ringo Starr to perform ‘Queenie Eye’ from the NEW album.
Paul was also honoured in an award recognising The Beatles’ contribution to popular music.
