I was ecstatic to find out that the young ones still love… and sing the doo-wops. Today, I heard “Spin Me Back”, the latest original song of The Whiptones. The Whiptones are a teenage Doo Wop acappella quartet from Whippany, NJ. And the boys just sing amazing! They take you back to the ’50s, when time ran slow and times were kind and harmonious.

The lyrics of “Spin Me Back” are a puzzle of great doo-wop hits. I gladly discovered titles such as “Teenager In Love”, “Earth Angel”, “In The Still Of The Night”, “Come Go With Me”, “Tears On My Pillow” or “Runaround Sue”. Apart from the smart play upon words, I loved their voices. The boys are so young, so talented and successfully recreate the sound of the golden ’50s.

If you want to know more about them, visit their official website and encourage them by buying their brand new CD.
